Reducing the volume of plastics, styrofoam, and cardboard used in basic research can be a challenge, so we’re taking steps to help. We switched the insulation in our packaging from styrofoam to biodegradable Green Cell Foam™.
This eco-friendly foam has the same thermo protection qualities as polystyrene, but is made from corn, is biodegradable and offers customers easy green disposal options. Once the foam is removed from the recyclable film, it can be dissolved in water, composted, or used to start a fire in your fireplace.
We’re Planting Trees
We’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered with One Tree Planted to plant trees! One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore nature and biodiversity. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.
