Big Sky BacMam Improves Transduction Efficiency

Big Sky BacMam is an improvement on Montana Molecular’s original “OG” BacMam vector. In our first experiments with HEK293T and CHO-K1 cells, we found Big Sky BacMam yielded significant boosts in expression. Montana Molecular’s R&D team and users of our fluorescent biosensors and other BacMam-packaged tools are continuing see improvements in new cell types, including iPSC-derived neurons and airway smooth muscle cells (ASMs).

iPSC-derived neurons are robustly transduced with Big Sky

Montana Paintbrush RFP expressed in iPSC-derived Glutamatergic Cortical neurons from BrainXell. Big Sky BacMam provided robust expression in these neurons even in the absence of HDAC inhibitors, which are commonly used to boost and maintain BacMam expression.
