At Montana Molecular the dogs are part of the team. Our 4 legged colleagues bring energy, personality, and a little bit of fun to our workdays. Around here, we don’t just study living systems—we celebrate them.
Diego
Diego is 5 and was adopted from Beaverhead Animal Shelter. He enjoys napping when he isn’t busy skiing and mountain biking.
Calla
Calla is 10 and enjoying the retired life with the grandparents in Livingston. She still stops by the lab occasionally to give her moral support. She loves camping, hiking and helping catch (scare) fish when we’re fly fishing.
Mabel
Mabel is 2 and will find your hidden bacon. She enjoy all things outdoors, the further away from the truck, the better!
Elsie
Elsie is roommates with Mabel and approaching her 9th year working for Montana Molecular. She’s likes long hikes in the mountains and butt scratches.
Bean
Bean was fostered by Thompson River Animal Care Shelter Thompson Falls, MT, and joined Montana Molecular at 9 weeks old. She is now almost 3 and enjoys chasing birds and winning at tug-of-war against bigger 2-legged and 4-legged friends.
Pilar
Pilar is a 12 year old rescue from Tijuana. She’s a pitbull/wombat/critter mix with a passion for finding coyote leftovers in the wilderness. We’re far less amused by these discoveries.
Pym
Pym is a high energy 3 year old Lab. He really likes bird hunting and dressing sharp in his dog-kirchief.
Winston
Winston is the 8 year old roommate of Pym. He’s the chill one in the family and mostly wants to sleep on the couch but will go for a hike if Pym insists.
