A genetically-encoded biosensor for PIP2 with a dimerization-dependent fluorescent protein. Green fluorescence decreases as PIP2 is hydrolyzed to produce DAG and IP3. The green fluorescent PIP2 assay is genetically encoded and packaged in BacMam providing simple, titratable expression in a variety of cell lines and primary cultures.
