This sensor has now been packaged in our Big Sky BacMam vector, yielding greatly improved expression in cell types including HEK and CHO cells. The new product number is #U0650G, but this product, #U0600G, is still available to purchase. Please reach out to us with any questions.
The fluorescent, genetically-encoded calcium (Ca2+) indicator (GECO) was developed by Robert Campbell’s lab at University of Alberta. G-GECO can be paired with r-cADDis, our red fluorescent cAMP sensor, or our red fluorescent DAG sensors to simultaneously detect both Ca2+ and cyclic AMP or diacylglycerol in living cells. The BacMam delivery system enables consistent and controllable expression in a wide variety of cell types including iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and neurons.
