Baculovirus pseudotyped with SARS-CoV-2 D614G mutated spike protein that binds with ACE2 and expresses green fluorescent protein at the nucleus 24 hours after viral entry.
SARS-CoV-2 assays and reagents
Baculovirus vector pseudotyped with D614G mutated SARS-CoV-2 spike protein:
D614G Pseudo SARS-CoV-2 is a BSL-1 baculovirus pseudotyped with D614G spike isolate. Pseudovirus enters the host cell through interactions with ACE2 and other host proteins, then delivers a reporter that expresses bright green fluorescence in the host cell nucleus. When viral entry is successfully blocked, the host fluorescence is decreased.
D614G PseudoSARS-CoV-2 is pseudotyped with the D614G variant of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. This European isolate spike protein decorates the surface of the pseudovirus, facilitating entry into cells expressing ACE2. Viruses pseudotyped with the original spike protein and Delta variant spike protein are also available.
- Detect host-pathogen interaction in living cells.
- Identify therapeutic drugs that block ACE2-mediated viral entry.
- Cost effective screening with minimal safety requirements (BSL-2).
Materials in the Kit:
• D614G Pseudo SARS CoV-2 Green NLS
• Sodium Butyrate, 500 mM in H2O
