The red PIP2 sensor is based on a dimerization-dependent fluorescent protein. The BacMam vector carrying these sensors is a modified baculovirus, which can be used for delivery to, and expression in, a wide variety of mammalian cell types including primary cultures. Red fluorescence decreases as PIP2 is hydrolyzed to produce DAG and IP3.
Materials in the Kit:
• Red PIP2 Sensor BacMam
• Sodium Butyrate, 500 mM in H2O
• HM1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor BacMam with nuclear green label in TMN-FH Insect Culture Medium
• Carbachol 25 mM in H2O
