IRE1-XBP1 Cell Stress Assay #U0921G
$795.00
Detect stress responses on a plate reader with the bright IRE1-XBP1 ratiometric cell stress sensor. CMV promoter.
This is an updated version of product #U0901G. It is packaged in our new Big Sky BacMam vector and constitutively expresses the brighter Montana Paintbrush RFP for improved plate reader compatibility.
This sensor is based on the XBP1 mRNA which is spliced by the IRE1 protein during ER stress. A red fluorescent protein is constitutively expressed while the sensor produces very bright green fluorescence when the cell endures endoplasmic reticulum (ER-mediated) stress or undergoes the unfolded protein response (UPR). Measure stress using just the green fluorescence or take a ratio of the green and red channels. Additionally, both the red and green fluorescent proteins are nuclear localized for simple cell segmentation and image analysis. More details may be found on the Cell Stress Assay page.
Materials in the Kit:
• IRE1-XBP1 Ratiometric Cell Stress sensor Big Sky BacMam
• Sodium Butyrate, 500 mM in H2O
• Thapsigargin (positive control)
